Slacker

I haven't posted here for a while. What a slacker I am.

I hadn't seen my hubby in over two months and he came into town on Sunday night. I've been a little (ok, a lot) sad because I know I've put on a bit on my waist since the last time I've seen him. Normal husbands wouldn't care or wouldn't notice, but I knew mine would be disappointed in me.

Monday morning when I was getting dressed he looked at me and said, "You should exercise with me." Well... there went my self esteem for the day. After I got dressed I was like, do I look like crap? He said, "I never said you look like crap, just that you need to exercise so your clothes won't be too small." Gotta love it.

OH MY GOODNESS! I am so sorry, I'm a little disappointed in your hubby...... Don't know what else to say other than I am a slacker too! So, from one slacker to another, welcome back. We missed you and we're here to listen!

uh...do you really weigh 158? It says here on the right hand side that as of 2/1, you weighed 158. I'm speechless by your husbands comments - I hope you know, you are perfect the way you are right now at this exact moment! You are exatly where you need to be!

Everything happens for a reason, including struggles. When you make it each day, you have accomplished more then someone who gave up. Keep making one healthy decision at a time, its the best we can do! Don't look at the big picture, just one healthy choice after another!

aw Im sorry! thats rough to hear. Have you tried to tell him about how his comments make you feel? I know men sometimes have a hard time really expressing what they mean. he may have just been trying to find a nice thing for you two to do together to become healthy, or was trying to express an interest in what you are doing, but it came out sounding like that. maybe if you talk to him, youll realize that he doesnt mean to hurt you, and in the very least, he'll know that his comments do make you feel that way and he wont make them anymore. its important for him to know that you need some positive support.
