So... Here's What Happened...

Feb. 2010

Clear back in February I was at work at a dinner theater we were hosting. I was talking to the husband of one of my coworkers. He's a personal trainer. I told him how I really wanted to lose a pant size because I have like 25 pair of size 10 pants and I'm now in a 12. After talking to me for a long time all about eating right, exercise, confidence in looks, etc. he said his suggestion to me was to just go buy a bunch of size 12 pants. He said I was confident in how I look and if the ONLY reason I wanted to drop a size was to fit into a bunch of pants that I wouldn't succeed because that isn't enough motivation. He was right. I like my looks. I like my curves. A size 12 is still a lot smaller than I've been in the past and it's a good steady size for me. I bought a bunch of size 12 pants and was as happy as a clam... I hear clams are pretty happy.

Let's fast forward to today. I think I've put on a little... nothing major. All my size 12s are fitting pretty nicely. I'm still happy with how I look AND THEN... I had to get an exam for my new life insurance policy and the lady took my weight. 190 FREAKIN' POUNDS!!! What the ??? I'm only 5'2! I'm the same pant size and pretty close to the same measurements as I was at 165-172 lbs. I wanted to throw the scale. So anyways... I'm dusting off this old blog *aaaahhhh choooo* and gonna see what I can do to lose a little of something or another. Here are a few current pics...

Mondays are Stupid

I lost another 1/4 inch on my waist this week. Hooray! But my dang hips just keep looking even bigger since my waist is getting smaller. My pants are starting to fit me better though, so that's a good thing. I think 2 3/4 inches lost off my waist in two months is pretty good progress. No complaining here about that, but I really need to lay off the crap food when I'm sad.

Friday night sucked. I totally got stood up, THEN met up with some lame guy I used to know and oh boy I'm not even gonna tell ya how that went. I didn't eat at all Friday because I was so in-the-moment stressed, but then Saturday when I was just sad about it all I ate crap. I had a Cherry Coke and big chocolate muffin for breakfast. Soooo not the way to start the day. Oh well... it made me feel happy for the moment and since the only other thing that would have made me feel better was running over the stupid guys I guess a Cherry Coke and chocolate muffin was better than going to jail. So... anyways... here are my measurements for the week :)

July 13-

Measurements Monday

My measurements are so dang random... They keep going down in some places and up in others. This week I lost on my waist and hips and gained on my thighs and arms... uuugggghhhh

July 13-

My Weight Struggle Story

Over at The American Homemaker I'm participating in the Ultimate Blog Party so I figured why not here too?

My name is Angie and I'm fat! (hi, angie) I'm been a bit of a slacker at eating healthy and exercising the last few months and what better motivation than knowing LOTS of people will be on my blog this week? I guess I better get crackin' LOL

So a little about me and my weight-loss saga... I spent years (Since I was 18 and had my first baby) hating how I looked, I tried eating healthy, killing myself with insane exersise, working with my doctor and nothing worked. I was severely depressed and my body would just not lose weight...


And then after my divorce in July 2007 I went from a size 16-18 to a size 10!!! I was happy, I was confidant, I was avoiding all sweets and drinking only water. I was doing moderate exercise. I felt great!!!

When I was remarried in January of '08 I got the birth control shot and a heck of a lot of stress added to my life! My weight/inches slowly came back. Here I am a year later...


Ok... I don't always have a cookie in my mouth, but I haven't taken a full body picture of myself since November. I'm a tight size 12 and trying to find time in an EXTREMELY hectic schedule to work out and trying to eat healthy while still keeping up with my love for baking, cooking and creating new recipes. Some weeks I do great and some I'm happy if I survived :)

I'll do my measurements in the morning. I'm sure they won't be great. My eating has kinda sucked and I haven't worked out. I doubt I'll be working out too much for several days until the fun whiplash wears off.

Girls Night Our Pic.... Finally

I FINALLY got this pic from my friend. This was us stuffing our faces on cheese fries at the Training Table before we saw Twilight on opening night, which was a couple of weeks ago.

I've done pretty well today... I even packed a baggie of baby carrots and a baby cucumber to munch on at work and I PROMISE I'm working out tonight!

Mmmmm

We double-dated last night and had a lot of fun, we watched a show at the Desert Star Theater and ate way too much yummy food. And Thanksgiving dinner was soooooo good. Yum yum. I had four pieces of pie :) And it made me happy.... lol

Since three of the four people in this picture are tracking their weight loss on this blog I thought I'd share what we all look like. The boxes contain the remains of our two streusels we ordered last night... Wow... they were like 12 inch dessert pizzas. I sent the leftovers home with my friends because I sure didn't want them at my house, especially since there would soon be pie. Skye ate streusel for breakfast today, but Ben was a good boy and just had cereal. Yah!

Ugly Exercise Pic


This is what I look like when I work out. Sweats, hoodie, no makeup, double chin (LOL)... thought I'd share.

I totally ate lots of chocolate chip cookie dough tonight. I got asked last minute to make two dozen cookies for a meeting tomorrow night. I think I must be PMSing because I've been craving chocolate big-time. I gave in to the craving :( Oh well... I guess I better work out extra... ha ha ha

I've been working my arms a ton this week and it could be my imagination, but they seem to be getting less flabbier. I don't know if the measurements will show a drop in inches, since muscle could be just as big around, but less flabby is GOOD :)

42 minute work-out tonight :)

I seem to lose from just one part of my body each week. Weird! That's why I used to just measure like once a month instead of every week. It's nice to see the overall loss. I worked out only 20 minutes tonight, but I'm drugged on benedryl and want to go to bed. I found my 3lb weights in the garage, so I did 20 minutes on my arms tonight with them.

Start of a New Week



Ok... I'm being totally brave and posting my measurements & pics for the week...

weight: 172
waist: 36 1/2
hips: 43 1/4
r. thigh 25 1/4
l. thigh 25 1/2
r. arm 14 1/4
l. arm 14 3/4

Arm measurements seem to fluctuate. I think it's because I probably don't hit the exact same spot every time. All of these measurements are a lot higher than I was in December-March, but lower than when I started a few weeks ago, so it's both bad and good. My weight back in March was 158. That's the last time I had weighed myself (I don't really care what I weigh).

I'm not really cramping with the cleanse any more, so that's good. I hope it's doing something.

I'm still sick. It's been forever and I just don't seem to be getting over it, so I haven't really worked out. I think that's why my measurements are the same as last week, but at least I'm maintaining even being sick. My hips are 1/4 inch smaller which makes me happy. I really wanna get to 35 inches on my waist by Halloween!!! I guess it's time to work out even being sick :( I'm still avoiding sweets. My will power is improving. I'm not really craving sweets or pop anymore.
