So far this year...

I haven't been doing that great. I haven't been to bed before 11pm yet this year. I haven't been avoiding junk food like I should and I haven't worked out yet this week. I'm slacking. I just don't feel motivated... AT ALL. I'm not really sure how to get past this slump.

I know how you feel. I'm actually proud of my efforts so far this year. I've been consistent with exercise--not so great with food, but not too bad either.

Motivation is always the hardest part.

I don't want to go to the gym today, but I just had to tell myself, "give it an hour, then the rest of the day it yours".

Try with the little things first. That seems to make changes stick. Such as reducing junk food, take it one step at at time. Eat only half of what you normally eat, or 3/4 of it. And then reduce the amount slowly. That way, you can still enjoy the foods you love without depriving yourself.

Because really, you don't want to go on a diet. You want to change your lifestyle. And a lifestyle in its own, includes indulges.

I've been there before. But you have to try and find your focus. What was it that started you on this journey? Remember what it felt like when you first started this and the weight started to come off? If you lose your focus for too long, you could end up back where you started and no one wants that. You CAN do this and get past this slump! (((hugs)))

:) I wanted to wait until you read my blog today before commenting on your post.

You are doing awesome but like Preludeto40 said, motivation is always the hardest. Just keep taking it one day, one hour, one decision at a time. You are doing awesome!
